Update: Enhancing Your BandLab for Education Experience

We're excited to announce a series of updates to BandLab for Education, designed to streamline your experience and focus on the core features that make teaching and learning music even more enjoyable. Based on valuable feedback from our educator community, we've made a few adjustments to ensure that your classroom remains a productive and inspiring space. Here’s what’s new:

✨ "Mix Editor" is Now "Studio"
To harmonize with the wider BandLab family, the Mix Editor has been rebranded as Studio. Along with this name change, we're excited to introduce the new Studio with updated features (Drum Machine, AutoPitch, Sampler, and many more effects etc) to enhance your creative process. Your favorite tools and features remain, now with even more power to bring your projects to life!

🛡️ Focused Learning Environment
The chat feature has been retired, empowering educators to maintain a more focused and distraction-free environment. We encourage using classroom discussions and other tools outside the platform for communication and collaboration.

📚 Streamlined Assignment Management
The Assignment Brief and Attachments options have been moved from the sidetab in Studio to simplify the interface, allowing students to fully concentrate on their music creation. Additionally, assignment management and grading actions like Submit and Grade are now centralized on the Assignments page.

📦 Enhanced Project Management
We've refined how projects are handled by removing features like Duplicate Assignment, personal project creation via audio file upload, and private sharing to maintain simplicity and focus on core functionality. The projects list has been updated to provide a clearer and more organized view.

🚀 Improved Onboarding and User Experience
Both teacher and student onboarding processes have been improved, ensuring a smoother start for new users. We've also updated user settings and classroom settings to be more intuitive.

🎯 UI Improvements
The interface has been streamlined, with updates to icons, and other UI elements, to create a more cohesive experience. This includes a more polished revision player for better content playback.

🔧 Privacy and Simplification
In our effort to simplify and respect user privacy, several features have been retired, including the "copy classroom," "email invitation," and "print code" for invitations.

🌟 What’s Next?
These updates are all about enhancing usability and creating a more intuitive and focused experience on BandLab for Education. We believe these changes will make it easier for students to excel in their projects and for educators to manage their classes seamlessly.
